Will the Neu 1512 provide enough power for my brushless Losi Truggy.I found 1 new with finned case for 200.00 shipped.

A Neu 1512 can deliver more than enough power for a truggy, but it will run hotter than a Neu 1515 due to its smaller weight and having lesser mass. The finned version is a good pick for sure.

You might take a look at this and this thread where i posted some vids of my Truggy with a Neu 1512/2Y fed by 10s1p A123. Power Peaks up to 2.5Kw. Power always comes from your battery packs. Using weaker battery packs will result in less power no matter how powerfull your motor might be. So be ready to pick some good battery packs to use your motor up to its full potential.

Much thanks Othelo.I have a 14.8V 4S 6000HV maxamps battery.I have been searching all the forums online for the last month searching for all the info about the conversions available and I like the idea of the motor mounted to the center diff not like the other versions out there that go with the motor in the same place as the original nitro engine.RCproductdesigns battery box fit perfectly and really appreciate everyones help.I purchased a Losi 8ight T, mambamax with a bec, rcmonster engine mount ,rc productdesign battery tray and top diff plate.I currently have a NEU 15151.5d/f in the truggy now and its balistic fast I MEAN FAST.I am so stoked I decided to persue this project its new and differant and alot less hastle than my nitro XT8 although I will probably convert that also.

my 1512/2.5D runs very cool in my 14lbs maxx on 5S lipo geared for about 37mph and the power is crazy

I have started to convert my CRT.5 to brushless I ordered a motor mount from rcmonster and I need some advice on what motor/esc,Pinion pitch and inside diameter of pinion of course that depends on the motor.I picked up a BCE chassis that enables the use of a fullsize steering servo only to find out that the end of the servo is going to be real close to the end of the motor pinion gear I think I can make it work it should have about 5mm clearance.I would like to keep the BCE chassis its a nice machined aluminum chassis that included a machined topplate and radiotray.And like a dummy I didnt check the clearance until I cut the BCE radio chassis.Heres a picture
