17mm hex/adapter for a 5mm axle?????

Can anyone help me find what im looking for? ive been looking through alot of sites and havent found any hexs or adapters to run a 17mm hex buggy wheels on my LS10's 5mm alxes. A point in a right direction would be much apperciated.

Here is the best I can come up with.

First maximizer make an adapter from a std 12mm hex to 14mm. It is usable as most 12mm hexes are on 5mm axles. So it should fit the ls10 (and the crt.5, my intended use)

Now, GS Racing make an adapter to go from 14mm to 17mm. Iis basically a sleeve that fits over the 14mm hex to enlarge it to 17mm, a washer of sorts that is hex shaped and made of 1.5mm thick plastic.

I ordered the gs racing adapter and need to order the maximizer adapter from the lhs. When I get it in, next week, I will let you know how it works. I plan to use some buggy wheels with badlands tires. My only issue will be to figure out what nut and washer combo will work to hold the wheel on. Any idea or link to a flanged nut that will fit the ls10 and crt.5 axles?

I too would like to see them, if they exist. A while back I designed a set for my Rustler, but nothing came of that drawing.

I never put visual threads on the part, but you can see where they would go.

It is one size too big on the thread, the ls10 and crt.5 use a m4 thread (I think), the emaxx is m5 or larger. They make a killer flanged nut for the savage, but it is too big (thread size) but it will fit the emaxx axles.

These are for the Lightning GT10 to make the stock GT10 14mm hex wheel fit it. Its a stock item and a direct fit for the Lightning Staduim 10. Not sure about a 17mm adapter though. Just thought Id throw it out incase it helps.

EDIT: With these hexes stock Maxx 14mm wheels work perfectly. I used them all the time on my nitro GT10.

Ross, I think that those are for the axial beadlocks that fit maxx trucks, so the axle size will be too big.

bummer lincpimp i though i had gotten lucky.......what size hex does the proline wabash wheels use? if its 17mm then i can trim the adapters down and just use the right size washer to fill out from my stock axle nut to the buggy wheels....

im pretty sure maxx size wheels/race tires would be a little tall. most 1/8 scale buggy tires are 4.6 inches compared to 5.5inches being the shortest maxx tire you can get.

Rustlers use a 5mm axle, and integy makes 17mm adapters for them.

yea but the integy ones stick out like an extra inch and that wouldnt last one lap around the track lol and i already go through wheel bearings fast enough.

IM pretty sure i can make this work.... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMUG0&P=7 .... in the tech specs it says the hex is 16.45mm i think with some careful application of hard .25mm thick tape, some trimming off the end, and the right washers they go on pretty easy.
