I just happen to have a pic. Pretty good looking chassis. Made with 7075 alluminum I do believe. Up to 32 cells! 33mm longer than stock if memory serves correctly. Not a light weight.

You mean the ue lightning chassis?

http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...ore/13206.html

It's a nice chassis, perfect for bashing. But it is heavy and has a high center of gravity, not that good for racing. Also a bit expensive.

that is also an option Sneeck.. I didn't thought about that lighting.. I hoped it was a HB lightning frame.. Something like the BPP...

The UE lightning chassis is very nice for sure. It is about the same length as an extended G-maxx chassis, but is a bit heavier with a higher CG. It still races quite well with the batteries mounted on the bottom, but not quite like the g-maxx.

I don't like exposing my battery's so they can get destroyd by rock's and the like. I'd rather go for a racebomb or g-maxx.

Good morning All

I am still getting the hang of this. I tried attaching the jpg. image in the post. No luck. I am glad some one else put up the link, was not to sure if that was kosher or not. I kicked around the idea of the lightening chassis for a bit. I settled on the Gmaxx with a single speed on account of the light weight and lower center of gravity. Apparently there is a lexan sheild that helps to protect the batteries when mounted below the chassis. This link has a few more pics and gives a better description of the product.
Supermaxx EXT Lightening chassis
With the proper funding and a project description that did not include weight savings, I am certain that this chassis would please the most discriminating builder.

It seems like most of the low cg chassis that I have seen, leave our batteries exposed to flying debris, either through the bottom of the batterry pockets or on the open exposed sides. Is their a good solution to this challenge?

You will have to drill 8 holes in total in the battery plate to work. Or just use the battery strap, allthough i'm not sure if that would fit.
