Programming 99.18 for Li-poly? -
08.09.2005, 03:41 PM
Hello,
I want to run my Warrior 99.18 on a 3200mah 11.1 volt Li-poly pack, but I beleive I need to set it up to do so. If anyone could offer advice or help I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

No, you only need some kind of alarm that tells you when the voltage dropped below 3V per cell. No need to program you 9918..

Buy this little lipoly friend.
The problem is that lipoly get damaged when you run them under the 3V each cell (3S = 3X3V=9V)

looks good, how do you like the buggy? i was seriously considering getting one of them but the time it was taking for him to make them really turned me off. made me worry what if I broke something that wasn't going to be available at the LHS.

There is also the Li-saver, which causes the motor to stutter when the voltage gets low:

Hey Guys, it just arrived today. The first thing I noticed was I didnt. It comes packed tucked inside the instructions. :) The thing is very very small. Here is a comparison picture I just took. I'll put it in the buggy now, I'll post an installed picture.

I'd just let you guys know this thing works great. I took it for a test run on a half dead battery, I ran for about 7 minutes when I got my first stutter. To be honest I was really nervous about this. I wasnt sure when it was going to kick in, but it did. And it did it extrmely well. At First a small stutter, then it will get a big more apparent. You'll definately notice it, but you'd still have time to get it back to safety.

This is the first review I have seen on this device. It is good to know it works in case the one the LVC device I am making doesn't work.
