OK, here it is, don't laugh :) Yes, that is a hacked up motor pod and axle from an RC10L superspeedway. Was not a pretty setup, but was remarkably smooth and relatively free spinning. The hard part...

There's a few parts that will break for sure. I was in communication with the distributor guy in Rochester and he helped me out with some spares. It rolls over pretty easily and then breaks some of...

It was directly down on the heatsink when I measured. Since there is no fan in there currently, and I dremeled out the fins in the top of the case I have straight access to the heatsink.

Thought I'd throw a question out to internetland for you all. Been using a MMM for almost a year in an RC8. Worked great on 4S with a 1512/2D, for the last month I've been using a T8 2250kv truggy...

I seriously can't make my RC8 cog no matter how hard I try. This is with MMM, 1512/2D, 4S, 15/46. I can crawl as slow as I want and it never stutters once. I haven't seen a MMM or MM cog since I...

I agree with pretty much everyone, I don't see how it could damage the ESC. However I don't think I'm the only one who's read that it is strongly advised against. Not sure why though. Like others...

Yeah, I'd like to get a Tekin 2050kv, but trying to see what can be done with the 2D I've had for a while. It seems like when I gear down the motor gets hotter and it tops out too early on the...

Consensus on EPA

So what's the final word on lowering the throttle EPA on the MMM? I keep hearing mixed answers, some saying it will blow the ESC, some say it's ok. Sometimes I like to go to about 90% and it seems...

I'm a Mac user traditionally, but I just found the greatest thing for this purpose. The Dell Mini 9 netbook. For anywhere from $250 to $400 depending on the configuration, it can dual boot Mac OSX...

hmm, 1051 kv? I really need a 1050. I think that extra 1 rev might draw too many amps for my setup. Are they "dyno-ing" each one to get that number or is that how they all the 12L's are rated? Just...

Looks great! That's what I was thinking would be the best racing setup, and most like the top 1/10 4WD buggies with saddle packs. If there were only some good li-pos in the same relative dimensions...

Brushless motors shouldn't be run too much without a load. They do heat up quickly this way. It seems strange, but they run more efficiently when there is a proper load on them. I've read several...

I also think you are undergeared. I was running a MM/5700 in my B44 geared 14/84 for a while, and things ran hot. I tried going to a 16 pinion and as you noted, things got relatively hot even faster,...
