I had a friend that had the same failure on the cc bec two weeks ago. It put out 16V, no smell and it could still show on the castlelink to be at 6V.

I have a hard time understanding the warranty is VOID if NOT using a fan.
The POOR design of the fan in the esc makes it IMPOSSIBLE to run with a running fan.
Those things break within minutes...

I took the top of the casing off with the fan on...
I took the top of the casing off with the fan on the truggy. After 5 min racing runs with a 1515 1.5D, I was getting up to 155F. I could position the MMM to get better cooling.
