Wired Backwards? - 07.06.2008, 12:02 AM

I made a boo boo...

Added some connectors to the a123 batteries I got from kulangflow so I can use the series adapter I made awhile ago but I put them on backwards

Will this still work?

you need to wire them correctly or your batteries will be no more

I would say redo the connectors or re-wire the y adapter.

If you hook it up the way it currently is, you will be connecting + to - and - to + and you'll probably let your smoke out in a bad way.

FWIW when my sidewinder esc first came a little while ago I accidently soldered my deans on backwards, I hooked it up, no go. I freaked out, unplugged, resoldered backwards again (This was not one of my better days ) repeat, then got it the right way. the esc and batts were fine

I was in the process of disabling the on board BEC on my Mamba 25 for my RC18 and use an extra CC BEC I had... I programmed the BEC and wired everything up than when it came to pulling the red wire you can guess which red wire I pulled.....than everyone was out of the BECs but the truck needs the diffs rebuilt anyways...so it continues to sit

Yep, they will fit on either side. You cannot use the male terminal in a female plug casing though, as they are different.
