Mounting a MMPro in 3905 help - RC-Monster Forums

I just got my MMPro in the mail today and will be mounting it in a 3905. The MM it's replacing is held by the two factory ESC screws and it works perfect but the Pro might be a different case size so..... What is the CLEANEST way to mount a MMPro in a 3905?

I'll tell you what I did.

Get a MMM Mount, then use velcro underneath it also.

The MM Pro is just a little shorter than the MMM, so the velcro aids in holding it, plus helps take up that little bit of extra space.

Plus you have a place to mount the ON/OFF switch.

i had no idea you could use a mmpro in the 3905?

It depends on what your trying to do. No high speed stuff for sure! Original plan for my E-maxx basher was a MMPro and a HV6.5 motor. I wasn't and I'm still not looking for much more speed than stock, just reliability and run time. I wound up putting a 1515 2.5D and a MMM in though because I already had them and they weren't being used.

I tried this setup in my E Revo. It's pretty impressive geared for 40mph.

The MMPro handles it fine. ZERO Cogging and plenty of power.

I am very impressed with the MMPro.

I think the biggest concern though would be the internal bec. I would recomended running an external as the internal wasn't designed for the current you will see running two servos or one big servo in a MT

I ran into the glitching monster with the BEC, using a pair of high torque aftermarket servos. The MMPro's BEC handles the stock E Revo Steering Servo's just fine.

What you have the BEC voltage set to seems to affect it also. That's because the higher you set the voltage to on the BEC, the bigger the current spikes will be at the servos.

The Pro should work great. I'm using a MM now with a 2600xl Hobbycity motor and it's fine. I do use a UBEC with it but the New stuff in the Pro will handle it all like a pro. I will be going to a Castle 2650 motor also which will be even better. As far as the two servos I'm guessing it'll be a load but with the tunability it'll work fine.

Yes, I do.

This is an E Revo, but will work the same for your E maxx.
