I get tons of traction when I use some beat up spikes. Even my heavy BPP goes to its lid if I'm not too careful. Here you can see the tires that I have:

The truck was hooked up great on black top and launched like it had rockets hooked to it. I drew a nice little crowd at the parking lot, but it ended at around 9:50 when the diff couldn't handle anymore.
