Oh ok. That should be possible with the 1518.

Well I finally finished my 1717 mount this morning. Ran into a snag yesterday.

You'll notice to mounting holes in the center that aren't being used. Those were originally my right most holes, but I realized they would interfere with the drive shaft so I elongated the mounting slot and made two more mounting holes.

My job only has 1/4-28 bolts so I'll have to stop by HD and get some socket head screws.

On the motor now is the CC 18T pinion. I have tons of travel in either direction between the slots that hold the motor and the slots that hold the mount so my gearing options should be very broad. Only thing limiting is the shell of the 1717 hitting the spur gear nut.

I may also be limited by where my steering servo is because I have GCM DB17 chassis, but I won't know that until I take this stuff home and put it back together this weekend.

18T pinion messed up tight in this picture. You can see the motor is close to the spur nut.
