I would run the lowest kv on 3s. As long as you can fit the batterys in and it does not weigh too much. I would like to see how good the novak system is. I have a feeling it will not be as good as a quark 33 with a hyperion y22 l or xl can motor. Plus the quark can handle 5s. That would be my choice for a high power mini setup. Unless neu make a small high powered motor!

Neu 1100 series are pretty close to 280 size - theyre 29mm diam. I was thinking of getting an 1107/1.5Y for my MLST2, and maybe an 1105 for the mini-t.

Probably wont have a whole lot of room for the gearing with a big motor like that though, and thats assuming the motor holes line up the same.

With the 54T spur, the smalled I can fit with the Mega ACn16 is a 27T pinion. I didn't try my Neu 1107, but you can try a 29T or 30T pinion.

What about this one: http://www.rcmodelland.com/index.php...at0=15&lang=en

I have a 3S 2900mAh from them (They don't carry that anymore) and it is pretty good. Now I have a 3S 1600mAh from Kong Power and it is pretty small and can fit an 18R. The only problem is that Kong Power doesn't list them anymore in their site and Air Thunder has them, but only is 2S http://www.airthunder.com/1600mah74v...tterypack.aspx.

The 11xx series of Neu motors has 16mm mounting holes, so they'll line up just right.

Also, FWIW, an 1105 would be way overkill in a Mini-T. It's not too hard to even run a Mamba motor in a Mini-T without temp issues. Heck, I've run a Mamba 6800 in my RC18T without temp issues...gearing is a huge factor with those little motors.
