my favorite thing about nitro was the police can hear you from a mile away playing in a parking lot at 2am obviously under the influence, and it gives our civil servants a good hour to make fun of you and ask you crap about your car while noticing how red eyed you are knowing your heart is about to fall out of your chest. Brushless is like a 9mm with a silencer LOL. I roll that thing in a lot by my house (old sears closed down) and the police station is less that a block away. Never had "the man" roll up on me

what about the pros?? - 01.17.2009, 03:47 PM

are there really still nitro purists these days? cuz if there is they are really going to have their feelings hurt should they come across that list. very well put together. you almost had me convinced to switch to nitro.

you know what i dont get, all the 1/8 pro drivers who grace the covers of magazines and are still holding up some dirty nitro. i thought the pros were supposed to be at the forefront of this industry. i mean, i think to myself, "those pros must only drive those nitros because their contract requires them too." why the hell arent they pushing their sponsors to get with the times and get a brushless kit made pronto and then let the pro sell the hell out of it on the covers. or do the pros really love nitro that much still? do they not want to admit they are racing a dying breed? i just want to hear an honest opinion from like Drake, or Truhe, or Cavalieri. not some sponsor written statement about how much they love their newest nitro kit. have any of them even driven an 1/8 brushless? some of you members out in SoCal must see them at the tracks. do they bring their brushless setup to the track at 1am when no one is there so they can secretly have some real fun without pissing off their sponsor? enquiring minds want to know.

I personally have not seen that, but I'll go to more tracks at 1am to really find the truth!

Yes but at least they cannot arrest you for DUI driving the nitro.
