MGT Mod 1 spurs are your best bet. They come in 46,47,49,52T. Tower has them.

Castle Neu 1520 on 6S LiPo Powered Gmaxx (Nitro Killer)
Predator with OS .21TM
Supermaxx with Mach .26
Revo with OS .18TZ
Kyosho ST-RR Conversion

Do you have any pics of the installation/mod? Thanks.

Open up the center hole slightly so a 5x10mm bearing will fit in it. The revo uses a 5x11mm bearing stock. Then just drill out 3 of the smaller holes to 5mm so that the posts on the slipper can pass thru and reuse the existing bolts that hold the spur on. I will try to get some pics of a modded mgt spur next to stock mgt spur. Really easy, you can enlarge the center and side holes with a body reamer if necessary, as long as the center hole is concentric the spur will run true.

Linc, I saw in some older threads that you were tinkering with a savage slipper...would that work?

The MGT spurs work great with some modding. Here's a 52 tooth Mod 1 on my E maxx with a Medusa Motor and a 18 tooth Mod 1 Motor gear.

Just don't mind the carnage. I had an accident. LOL

Notice, there is alot of room in the adjustment to allow for a bigger motor pinion or a smaller one. It's pretty close to the middle with a 18 tooth.

I have tinkered with savage slippers, but they are not as good as the revo spec slipper. Best to just mod the mgt spurs and run them. I never did put a savage slipper on a revo, only slipper swap was putting the revo spec unit on an old emaxx tranny.

Right on...thanks for the help

I just ordered an MGT gear for about $3.50 so that is a cheap investment if I screw it up.

Mmm... are those plastic spurs really 32 pitch? For example this 49t? It says in the tech notes that it's 32 pitch though it looks more like mod1 to my eye.

All mgt spurs are mod1, tower's info is not correct.
