The MM esc is overkill I dont know if it is limited on max rpm? you can turn these little motors up to 100,000rpm

If you want to run high voltage the Quark 33a ESC is good for 5s the Mamba ESC is good for 4s as far as upgrades get the MIP diff's with the Asc. carbide balls and they will last a lot longer with the added power. :)

The RC18B is a onroad only car I have been running a 4s 2100 Maxamp pack in for almost a year now with a variety of motors and the driveline has held up great it's basicly a RC18B ft kit with a carbon chassis and MIP diff's with CVD's in the front and it's been over 80mph with the 6800 Mamba on 4s I'm hoping to get it over a 100mph by July for the worlds fastest RC challenge.:032:

Runtimes with a 2100mah pack?
8000 Mamba = around 30min
6800 Mamba = around 45min
5700 Mamba = around 55min
Wraith 7k = around 25min

Get rid of that giant antenna if your going for speeds like that. Its thin, but will create quite a drag a high speeds. Check out the spektrum mini rx they sell the antenna is only 2.5" long.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I have been running the Mamba and the Quark with out disabling the BEC seems the mini servos dont draw enough amps to overheat the BEC everything has been working great. :)

I'm looking at eather a 5s or 6s set up to try and get over a 100mph. :)

I'm not a big Spektrum fan for distance I get a lot more distance with my FM Air M8 set up vers the Spektrum. At speeds over 60mph I found the fiberglass antenna helps cut down the cartwheels that keep going and going and going and well you get the idea.

I'm running spektrum. I've never had any problems with it, but then again, I can't see that far and I don't drive farther than I can see.
