Gustav; One mm controller can take the maxximum power from a lipo pack, at a more efficient factor than a dual setup.

Dual is a nono for me. (as well as for other users) but if 0700 wants a dual setup, we need to advise him what we think is best.

Yeah,i know,dual is not something i'd do either,ideally, but i can see a case for it,sort of.It's hard to recommend a 6-8s controller at the moment,that's why.
You'd have to have some hot motor on 4s to keep up with a pair of milder systems on 4s,closes the efficiency gap a little if you're chasing a certain amount of power,at least it won't thermal. Also, using a pair of cheaper, lighter 4s packs, since you'd be taking less current from each, helps some with the cost and weight difference. So say you're taking 70% of the amps each, from a pair of 4s packs, that you'd be taking from a single, more powerful 4s pack with a single big motor and single esc, you'd still be up on power whilst being down on temperature and load on each esc..

So i'd take it over running a single mega hot motor, although it's not ideal, going higher voltage with a single system is.Me personally,i'm building everything light these days so i can run cool 4s setups (single),35mph is enough for me,i just want a cool running, hassle free setup that is nice to drive and has plenty of snap.the novelty of running huge power up and down in straight lines wears off, then you just want to get on with driving.until some alternative high voltage controllers come along, then i might build some big monsters again.

0700,do you have an idea what you want to spend? and if you want to make them useable as single systems in other applications?
