I usually use the original charger to charge them to 36 volts and then I use my Astro 109. I charged them at 5amps and they seem to take it with easy. The pack is a 10S1P.

Today I blew the capacitor on the esc. The truck ran strong for around 5mins and then the capacitor blew.

New pictures of the truck. Now it has a 3695/MicroCar, Hacker ION-X motor and 2 36 volts packs in parallel. I will make a video of the truck running with the 16/65 gear and then I'll make one with the 22/65.

Lutach,

Dual 36V packs?

I'm impressed and scared at the same time! LOL!

I did run it for a little bit. The truck coggs at low end, but then when it gets moving it is kind of scary.

Is the power "out of control" ?

Seems like it would be outrageous to me.

It has a ton of torque steer. The packs are on the left side and when it goes it wanders to the right.

I guess that's not surprising really.

I just came back from a quick test with the 16/65 gears and decited to put the 22T pinion back in. The truck is fast with the 16T, but I need to go faster. I also ran the truck for 15mins. to see if anything would over heat. The controller was warm and the motor was just a bit warmer than the controller. I'm now charging the packs and after 15mins. they still had 33.45 volts left in them.

New video of the truck 88MPH!!!! - 05.27.2007, 07:34 PM

WOW!!! 88MPH out of a 15+ pounds truck. The video says everything.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9xFJ_tmxVg

If anyone has any tips on how to make it faster, please let me know. I want to make it go 100MPH.

I just got finished reading RC Car Action that showed the 2006 speed event and the fastest truck was a Savage that went 61+ MPH. I guess I have a new record then.
