Since you already have the 1Y, I'd just run the 4S setup and maybe get a 5S pack later for occassional insanity. The 1Y is a good motor and the Compro stays very cool.
After reading your post I thought if i can get 6s why not. Well, 4s alone is insanely fast. 6s in a an E-Maxx is just stupid for a basher. I may as you suggested try some speed runs with a 5s. thanks for helping this noob out.
