Just like the title of this thread says, THIS MOTOR IS A BEAST! Power/torque is incredible, to say the least. I was just out driving my Savage with the 10XL (1200 kv) on 10s2p A123 (yep, 20 A123 cells!), HV-110, and 20/46 gearing (center diff, no transmission). Tires are HPI Phaltlines. Theoretically this setup should give me approximately 70mph.

The way I was driving was definitely stressing everything on the truck. The ESC was actually cutting the throttle when I was trying to wheelie, probably because the current was too high. And, I'm sure the current was too high: the HV-110 BURNED, and actually was on fire for a second or two. When I hit it with my temp gun, it was 190* F at the heatsinks. The motor was 155*, and the batteries about 88*. I also managed to strip out a metal give in my cheap Bluebird BMS-620mg, so I lost braking. And of course the cheap Towerpro 995mg steering servo wasn't holding up its end of the bargain (the steering was very slow). Overall it was quite a disappointment, but now I know what I need for a good truck.
