About your battery mount though... you're going to need something to stop the battery from popping out from the top in a crash. Mine is similar, and needed one too. A simple "L" shaped bracket does the trick nicely.
Hey Dafni... does this mean you're willing to paint some bodies? I could use a buggy body...

I am planning to put a layer of velcro on the face to the CF plate and on the back of the lipo. The velcro and the strap should be plenty to hold that battery in place. I have a similar system in my 1/8 buggy and I actually forgot to close the strap once and ran an entire pack jumping and crashing with only the velcro and tray holding it in place. I only realized I forgot to close the strap after I ran the entire pack. Its amazing how strong that stuff is if you have enough surface area. I just need to get to the store to pick some up.
And I bet Daf is up for doing custom paint work. I asked him to do a body for my Revo and it turned out AMAZING! I was actually going to post a thread on it, I just havent gotten around to it yet. I'll see if I can snap a couple pics soon so you can see the work he did for me. That man has more atristic talent in his little toe than I have in my whole body. He does really nice work.

I'll get a pic taken and posted soon. I promise.
And yes, it would probably be a good idea to start a thread and link it to your gallery.

Nice job - I remember that you and I had pretty much the same setup going (motor, esc, 3S batteries). How are your temps doing?
I have been running 17/46 and the speed is pretty potent. I have the 18 and 20 pinions and would like to try them.
My esc temps have been around 140*, but I was using the MM BEC with 3S so that could explain. Just got the CC-BEC so waiting to get a chance to run it again to see temp are better.
Peak power has been 722 watts at a peak current of 72Amps.
Also, how are those tires doing. How is the ballooning at top speeds? I have the Dirt Hawgs and they balloon pretty bad at speed, I'd really like to find something that can handle the speed better.

I havent really run it yet. I just finished it on Monday so hopefully this weekend it will get a good test run. I'm pretty sure it shoud be OK on temps. I was running my Lightning Staduim 10 on this motor w/ a MM and 4s a123 for a while and temps were fine. I was using a UBEC on the MM and have a UBEC set up on the crt.5 too.
I also run these tires on the LS10 and they actually handle pretty well so I bought a set for the crt.5 too. Balooning isnt to bad, Traxxas sells these for use i=on the VXL Bandit which can run 70mph, so 45 should be no big deal for them. I'll let you know how it runs after I get it out and give it a workout.
How does your Hacker 8L do on temps?

Thx for the info. One more question - do the Traxxas tire mount properly to the stock CRT.5 wheels or did you have to get a different wheel.
I've been very happy with the temps running 17/46. I was bashing it hard for about 20 minutes and the temps never got above 115* while running. When I would stop and let it rest for a minute the temp would climb up a bit to about 125-130*, but that's all. I'm using the temp probe from the React mounted in the heatsink right above the end-bell. A temp gun confirms that the probe is accurate to within a few degrees at the hottest point on the motor.

Yes they. Mount right on the stock wheels. Just get the bandit rear 2.2 tires. The rustler/jato 2.8 tires don't fit.
