This must be your first brushless setup. 45 mph isn't a bashing speed. Yes, drivetrain killing torque at demand. wheelies are not a problem.

one thing i don't understand- the kind people here offer help and advice based on their personal experiences and the experiences of all the other people talking on these forums, so why won't you take their advice? there is a reason for using 1/8th diffs and like drivetrain on 1/10th brushless rc trucks! i don't think that you can do enough to your drivetrain to let it handle what you want. i think you should have started out with another platform of truck!

a slipper clutch can't do all the work, something WILL give. as for emaxx shafts and diffs, they are less than desirable in your application!

what about the upgraded e-maxx shafts and diffs??

Serum: sry about that, im just confused..

so a higer kv motor have less torque..

but i still dont know how much torque vs kv i need to create a mt that can make wheelies on demand and to make it fast as hell..

is the quali different so big from a hv-maxx to a neu??

whats best, neu or lehner??

Hey guys...sorry this guy was a tool and wouldn't listen, but I do listen, so how about a little advice on the same topic?

I have an E-Zilla...I'd like it to be faster...a lot faster. 12 cells...maybe 4S Lipo eventually, but for now, plan on 12 high end NIMH's because it's what I have. I've heard the MM ESC will be plenty for this application, so given that the MM will work, all I really need is a motor suggestion.

I already have an HV 6.5 powered E-Maxx, and it's plenty powerful for me. I wish it was about 5 or 10 mph faster on the top end, but I have no complaints about torque at all. Most people on here seem to think the Novak systems are garbage (and it is in some ways), yet I'm happy with the performance of mine, so obviously I'm not too hard to please.

One thing that is semi-different about me is that I have about 10 trucks that I run on a regular basis...so this won't be seeing 15 battery packs a week..or even 5 a week...but when it does get taken out, I'll run it until I run out of daylight, until it's broken in half, or until I run out of batteries. When it gets taken out, it will be run HARD, probably battery after battery after battery.

So...what would you guys suggest given the criteria?

-Reasonably priced.
-Works well w/ the MM (though if it won't work, I'm open to other speed control suggestions)
-At least 35 mph on 12 cells, but not necessarily more. I'd rather do 35 for 15 minutes than 45+ for 7 minutes.
-Good enough power to throw it around a bit, but nothing ridiculous. This is a smallish, fairly light truck after all.
-Ideally...1/8 shaft, but I know that's pushing my luck.
-All of this on 12 high end NIMH's.

...Sounds like D3Nic actually WANTS an E-Maxx MORE than his 'zilla...

..Metalry stick in your 6.5 and see if thats what you like :D Will need to shave a bit to get it to fit but with 10 trucks i am sure you can make it fit in there somehow...Oh and get a Generis RoadBoy chassis...THEN you wont be needing those 'other' trux ;)
