I had a small fan on my MM esc that helped alot, otherwise I position the electronics near the rear wheelwell so it gets some airflow but in not really in the path of mud or water. Now I have a HV high efficiency setup that stays cool no matter what.

Ex: Earlier this week I was bashing @ a const lot. It was fairly dry, but there was a soupy muddy patch that I hit fairly fast. Mud flew and coated the body. Worried about the electronics, I opened the lid. The inside was completely clean. I flung what I could off the body and continued on.
I agree it IS nice with a body without holes, but if it would really help with my motor temps I would make some holes. My lehner gets to around 85 C (185 F) and some times even higher! I wouldnt mind having it run a little cooler!

I also have a fan on my mm, it helped alot!
