no it coggs even without any pinion
 when you go from reverse to full forward and if you let the motor turn at maby 100rpm and the peg the trottle.

I even reset the Mamba to factory defaults and still no cogging. I know you said you were running 4S with a UBEC...but that shouldn't make a difference... |

would a loose connection or bad solder joint cause this? might not hurt to check.
