Well the motor's gonna get hot, it's a fiego But seriously, everything should stay pretty cool, but the motor will heat up. I suggest Mikes motor heatsink clamp, it's pretty awesome and fits with the Tekno mount. And if you're really worried about temps, just buy some fans and put them on the motor and ESC.

I know - i already run a 8L in my EMaxx ... it gets hot all the time.
I already ordered a motor heatsink clamp :)
Well i read that the maximum length with the tekno mount is 74mm, the length using the heatsink is about 76mm

Trust me it fits, it's what I am currently running. You just can't run the motor in the low cg mount setup. By the way, are you running the extended rear a-arms?

I found a guy thats going to run a twin brushed setup(stock emaxx stuff) and he is going to trade me a revo 3.3 tranny with an FOC already installed for my emaxx tranny with RR slipper and steel idlers. Im also going to send him the axles I was using, and some battery trays becuase I wont use them anymore. works out great for the both of us. I should have my revo on the road by saturday and its basically going to be a new revo compared to what im used to.

in the last week I have ordered or traded for:
3.3 chasis and all needed accesories
3.3 crowd pleaser
revo tranny
jd carbon stuff all around
10xl
badlands on black 1/2 offseet wheels.
extended wheelbase arms

I cant wait. I wouldnt have dared to take the erevo on the track before but I hope all of those things will help it out. the mechanical brakes will definatly help out alot. I wont have alot of top end with the 10xl but thats fine for the bashing I do, and my track is very twisty and tight.

my 8xl didnt have any serious heat problems, but it would occasionally overheat. Really I got the 10xl to save my rustler's MM, and of course I love runtime.

I finally got all my stuff. had to steal axles from other trucks, a differential, and a receiver pack but I did get it running. The thing I know for sure Im happy about is the weight. with talons my truck has an rtr weight of 10.5lbs. with 2 true rc 6400mah 2s and a receiver pack. the truck alone weighs 8.6 so im very happy. still havent put my badlands together, but im hoping they are lighter than my talons.

the 10xl turns SOOOO SLLOWWW but runs ice cold. well I think I have only run the truck for about 5 minutes and for some reason it will vear off to one side, and if I change thet trim it will vear to the other side. I cant find a good median. I also popped a pivot ball out and I have no idea how I was just driving around and I came back and the tire was all sagged over. then the slipper nut came off(it was just a wheel nut with some washers, because I still have to get the revo slipper.) I cant get the front end up at all with the talons. it is so long.

the rc-monster heatsink is A LOT nicer than I thought it was going to be, and I definatly recomend it.
