Wow good idea. I never would have thought of that one. I usually pick up my foam at the local fabric store like Joann's. They have the foam for inside the tires and the thick stuff with the adhesive back.

I'm definitely going to have to try the mouse pad thing though.

Thanks for all the replies, I've never heard of using mouse pads but it does sound good. I want something that's kind of dense so it doesn't compress too much. I haven't been able to go see what they have at the automotive store since I've been tearing down my Revo 3.3 to clean it because I'm going to be converting that too.

You can get the pre-cut ones made by Associated and Losi. Or you can go to McMaster and buy it in larger sheets.
