I am very good friends with Ryan Lutz and we were racing together so i talked about the BL 1/8 buggies and he did not did not say much but i think he liked the it... But the down side is u can not run a 1hr main with out a battery change and what if the battery gets damaged or it is not charged all the way or the esc breaks because i know they can take a lot but a 1hr main and one might break so that is the down side... But you could say so much about a nitro car to because there is a lot that can go wrong to.. i do not think that electric 1/8 buggy or truggy will make it into the pro racing seen unless it was in its own class... The sound of a nitro car is so exciting and the electric is not but electric is faster and has more power over all...
So it i like both nitro and electric i think that when more pros get into the electric 1/8 cars then batteries will get better an last a good 45m minutes with full power and then i think most will switch to electric i race nirto right now but i am working a converting my 1/8 bugggy to electric..
