Maybe I over reacted a little bit.

I swapped out the motor shaft on my Cyclon Car 2000 motor. The original shaft was a 5mm turned down to 1/8" where the gear mounts.

One of the most dependable little motors I've owned. It's been ran alot with no problems at all. Good for 18 cells and 1300 watts.

There was a longer 5mm shaft here out of a Century 600 outrunner that was a perfect match.

I'll play around with this setup for awhile. Everything lined up really good.

That is one of Mike's 20 tooth pinions for a 5mm shaft. Isn't it pretty?
