There may be some truth to your statement, but every 10 scale electric car I've seen relies on chassis slap on the big jumps and sometimes even the smaller ones if its a low grip track. By the time you set your "stock" car up to never slap the springs and damping are so stiff it will handle badly in a race situation. For that matter even the big 1/8 buggys and truggys slap a lot.
