Losi LST2 Brushless - 03.21.2008, 07:56 PM

I was thinking about converting an Lst to brushless(didn't want to buy from that FineDesign guy) and wanted to use a Neu motor with a 6s lipo and since the truck has mech. brakes, use a Castle HV 125. Would use Monster Pro if the Castle doesn't work, anybody know which Neu i should use? Maybe Mike could make me some good motor mounts so i don't have to.

The CC 125 is not the HV model, its only good for 6S. The HV model is rated for 12S.

So on the airplane models (HV110) you can use the same setup as the MM models? Like forward/brake/reverse (proportional w/reverse lockout)? It that's the case why haven't I bought one!

None of the cc air escs, inc the hv110, have proportional brakes. You must also use a pixstix adapter so that they will work with a wheel radio.

True, it doesn't have proportional brakes, but it does have brakes. I don't need em though because the Lst has mech. brakes. I don't know anything about pixstix, but the CC rep. that i talked to didn't mention using pixstix to make it work with my wheel radio.

Feigo 7XL Motor - 03.23.2008, 06:14 PM

Do ya'll think that a Feigo 7XL motor would be a better choice than the Neu 1521?

I have a Fine Design XLT1 in my LST2 which is basically a 7XL. I just ordered a Neu so I'm hoping it'll make a huge difference. I got used to the XLT motors and want more now.

I have an aftershock, and intend to use a KB 45 12xl motor on 8s-10s lipo. Leaving the stock 2 speed and using Mike's 2 speed adapter, which I had him bore out to fit the KB 6mm shaft.

Going to leave the mech brakes and use a CC hv85 esc with a pixstix adapter. Most likely going to use a pair of 2200 20c 5s lipos wired in series.

Batteries should be good for nearly 2hp, hope that is enough. I may have to buy some larger capcity 5s packs, we will see.
