LOL. I remember that thread Serum, (on Traxxas' forum I believe?) where people were accusing you of faking that picture.

I ended up taping the inside of those tires and it did make a HUGE difference. Practicly no balooning at all. I'll have to take another picture when I get my Maxx put back together so you can see a before and after pic.

I still don't quite get how you're supposed to go about taping the tires to prevent ballooning, I was under the impression that you could just put a layer of duct tape on the inside of the tire and it'd work fine......is that wrong?

That is exactly how I did it dabid. It is a little difficult to get the tape inside however, so I turnned the tire inside out, wrapped the tape around, then turned it rightside in. I also purchased extra wide duct tape to make sure it covered side to side.

If you use duct tape. Is it like nascar? The truck will be good for 200mph.

I seen them serum. That is what makes me what to use it. Keep the tires where the supposed to be. I think they should put belts in the tires like a real car tire. Just add the fiber ones not steel. Then you would not need the tape.

I had some belted slick tires on my HPI RS4 Rally back in the day for parking lot driving, but that was only for on road, I had the Pirellis for off roading. :L:
