Feigao 7L and 3s is fast for sure - ultimate is a quick neu 1509...

What pinion mod? if you get a motor with a 3.125mm shaft you'll need an adapter to use mike's pinions.

Run 3s and an 8L (around 34k rpm max). This will give you plenty of power and the ability to gear up and/or use larger tires without loading the motor too much. You could even go to a 9L if you wanted.

You could try the Medusa V2 36-50-3300 on 3s. It looks perfect for the Sidewinder. Be sure to report on your findings on this motor as well. Personally I am looking foward to trying mine on the Neu 1509/1Y (3s).

I'd like to get a 1506 for my e-crt.5. Most guys feel the 1509 could push a 8 lb. 1/8 buggy as well as a high end .21 nitro, it just hasn't been tested yet. I bet a 1506 would be a rocket in a crt.5 and still have great run times.

These might work... Look like cheaper feigao's

Feigao got fed up apparently with hobbycity not providing any service on their motors and stopped supplying them to HC.

Yes use BrianG's speed calc as it depends on tires but I think that would need about a 16T pinion
