The esc would be set up for forward and reverse, with no braking, on channel 2.
Mech brakes would be on channel 3.
First mix would be for forward and brake. Ch 2 would be set for neutral to full forward, and ch 3 would be set from neutral to full reverse/brake. This would give forward and brake.
2nd mix would then reverse to previous setting, so ch3 would provide braking from neutral to full forward, and ch2 would provide reverse from neutral to full reverse.
The 2nd mix could also be setup to mimic what a nitro vehicle has when using a mech reverse. You switch it into reverse with the 3rd channel switch, and use the throttle control to move the truck. I would prefer to have it as shown above. Like I said, I am not sure if there is a radio that would allow this kind of selectable mix, but I am sure that a stick radio for a air/heli could do it

I think you are thinking along the same lines I am, but I'm very new at converting nitros so thats why I asked. I've got the futaba 3pm fasst but I couldn't think of how to do it.
