Between those two, I'd go with the 6.5. But instead of either of those, you should wait a couple weeks for the MMM ESC to come out from Castle Creations and just get a Feigao 8xl or 9xl motor to go with it. Much more powerful and you'll be much happier with it.

I just got an 8xl shipped from superfastrc.com for $62 to replace my HV-MAXX 4.5 Way happier with it, running it from a MM/CC BEC for now, way more power 30 MPH wheelies aren't a problem. My Novak setup puked out on me for no apparent reason so I bought the Feigao and MM

No def not a good set up! Unless ur picking one up dirt cheap stay away from it. The motors need the upgraded 5mm rotor to be reliable ($50) and the esc still can't handle that motor. I paid $230 for mine then another $50 for the 5mm upgrade and its useless now. My Mamba Max was $140 from my lhs, the CC BEC was $22 on here and an 8xl that already has a 5mm shaft was $62 so that is actually cheaper and more powerful. Or wait another couple weeks and get the MMM for $170 and you wouldn't need the CC BEC to run it on 4s LiPo so it pretty much cost the same if you can wait. No matter what though I recomend staying away from the Novak setup!

Patrick from CC has posted on here in the sneak peek and mmm availability date dropped threads. Pre-order is supposed to be available next Monday and for the first week it will be only open for private individuals, no distributors, and will be able to preorder for $170.95 after that it will be closer to $200.
