I recommend the Strobe slipper as a replacement/upgrade. It takes bigger, tougher gears and has the ability to dial in some slip, unlike the stock setup.

If you go to the strobe. Don't you have to change the pitch to mod 1?

Yeah, that's the reason why Mike reccomends it.. Mod 1 is much stronger than a 32 ptich..

The strength part sounds real good. Just seems the selection of spurs are limited. I still running the 32 pitch for this reason. I have to change up. ONe day.

You probably can't get them at your lhs, it are mod 1 pinions.

I ran the 1/8" mod1 pinions from Mike with the 51T Ofna spur on the HV-Maxx. You really need to watch the final gear ratio recommended by Novak. Before replacing the HV-Maxx, I originally geared 1st speed to be in the recommended gear ratio and never used 2nd.

The robinson does nicely. IT is not the strobe system. It does run the 32 pitch though.

No slipper pegs. It uses disk. Hold alot better than pegs.

The Robinson is a step above the stock setup, but a couple steps below the Strobe. With high power, the Robinson slipper is inconsistant, and the spur gears are rather soft. The Strobe offers more durability, consistency and tuneability.
