I'm curious why you would like to go 5s. To me that seems like it would be way too much power to use on a track (although you would get awesome runtimes on 5s 2500). I'm running 3s 4000mah 20C on a Feigao 9L, and geared at 45mph my CRT.5 accelerates FAST and is just awesome. Temps are incredible too, 140 deg. on motor (yes, a Feigao!) and Mamba Max ESC, and ~100 deg. on the battery. I have yet to weigh my truck, but I'm sure it is heavier than most due to the battery, motor, and custom chassis.

Also, as Finnster pointed out, better shocks are are requirement for the 1/10 CRT.5. The nitro guys use Ofna DM-1 shocks in the front and 1/8 buggy fronts in the rear. I have had excellent results with Jato front shocks (there's a thread about them) and Jammin' front buggy shocks on the rear. I just need to work on tuning them.
