Just saw this on another forum a couple hours ago. I think its great for us electric guys. I have already had an electric 8 and 8t so I dont think I will buy one but I am still interested to see what changes they made compared to the nitro version. I am especially interested to see if they added any kind of slipper.

Who currently manufacturers the brushless ESC's and Motors that Losi is selling for their 10th and 36th scale vehicles?
Are they going to use them to create the ESC for the 8th scale?

Yeah, surprised they haven't bought out a Electric LST

A few years back Losi use to make some RTR vehicles with the Novak SS4300, maybe Novak and Losi and coming together again and putting the Novak kit and HV-Maxx in a 8?
Although there is a rumor going around that the motor spotted in the buggy was a larger xcelorin motor

Wonder if they will use direct drive center diff, without slipper?
Or will they steal the slipperdiff idea?

If they do, people will be lining up to get hold of that bad boy.
Any ideas when Mike will have his slipperential ready?

I imagine the rest of the major companies are probably at the same stage of development on their large scale electrics as Losi is. It'd be hard for me to believe that they haven't noticed the huge movement to brushless yet. It's not really something you can ignore.

The Losi brushless setups now look like the fegaio esc's. Sorry i can't find the link i had. I think Lutach has one.
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

If they want to use it, they will likely be paying me royalties- I am in the midst of a patent application for the slipperential. :)
The slipperential is in production phase now - shooting for release in about a month. :)

Great to hear that its almost ready. I remember you had it at my local track last summer but obviously you still had more testing to do. Anyways can you give us any estimated price? thanks

Price is still to be determined - waiting on a quote for a vital part of the assembly at the moment(90% of the costs are determined at this point, including MOST of the parts requiring tooling - the diff cup will be a tooled piece and is out for quotation). Part of the time taken to get this to market is a result of efforts to offer these in high volume, and therefore a lower price point. It will be more expensive than a "run of the mill" diff of course(many more parts), but the goal is to keep the price very reasonable - particularly for the performance, tunability and durability benefits of using it. :)
