5mm bore drive cups - 05.05.2008, 04:45 PM

Does Mike sell any 1/8 drive cups with a 5mm bore? I know he sells ones with an 8mm bore.

Thanks

IIRC, the ones that come with mip cvds for the maxx trucks have a 5mm hole in the center and will work with std 1.8 scale dogbones.

I use these ones and haven't had a problem yet. Traxxas #5153, $7.69 a set.

Plus, you can use the blue traxxas dust boots if you go with the traxxas drive cups. They are pretty durable, too!

I just found out the hard way that Traxxas # 5153 drive cups are 6mm bore not 5mm! Don

You can still purchase dogbone drive cups from UE. I just ordered and received some 5mm, 6mm, & 8mm cups from UE, and they are heavy duty if you need the strength.

Unlimited Engineering - originator of the Supermaxx and Lightning. The drive cups are listed on this page. They are hardened for minimum wear. I use them also along with a lot of their other drivetrain stuff.

Take a look around - you'll see their stuff mentioned, won't hurt to be aware of who/what they are.

Thanks! Went there-good looking stuff. Wish I'd have known about them before I ordered the Traxxas ones. Don
