Def would take the money.

I was "allowed" to use my own money and buy a motorcycle - all I had to do was make all A's for the all of the 9th grade, Civics, Latin, Algebra II, English and PE. My Mom and Dad later admitted they would've never made the offer if they had really thought I would be able to do it, lol!

Same here. I busted my butt all summer working 12 hour days to make the money to buy my first motorcycle, my first car (bought it out of a junk yard and had to build it before I could drive it!). I had to wait all year to buy the bike 'cause my grades were too low. I even remember the smell of that bike sitting in the show room - means a lot when you worked hard for it. Then I put myself through college.
