There is a guy on the idiot forum (traxxas erevo section) who has one, reports good things so far- just be aware it is forwards only, so mechanical brakes are needed.

Thank you,
PB
The one i got was from Macau, not sure if it was due to the fact that it is close to Singapore or their factory is in Macau.

Update on this, I just came from work and I was suppose to do some runs but the bad part of being on a tropical region, you dont know when it will rain...Maybe in the afternoon I can do my test, Ill guess ill just sleep for now

Ok the rain stopped and I was able to do a 20-25min run.

- motor Kv 2075
- Same gearing as my Feigao 9XL 62/22
- MM with 5S2P A123
- everything else stock on E-Revo
- Run on slippery wet grass and stiff hill

This motor got power and torque, it can do wheelies but not as aggressive as the 9XL but it could be due to the slippery condition of the grass. Speed can easily go to 40-45MPH, not sure as I don't have a setup to check it but its faster than 9XL. Hill climbs were fun as this motor was not giving up, although the grass is a bit slippery but motor manages to pull it up.

Motor temp was hot 180-190Deg but then again I was doing mostly WOT on Hill climbs for 20min at least (One climb after the other) not to mention that this tires keeps on slipping due to low traction on the wet grass. ESC is still at 130-150, nosram fans are doing great of keeping the temp at bay. battery as always is just warm.

Damage: Rear wheel got ripped off the rim....i say thats power to the motor...

I am not that convinced yet to give it a 2 thumbs up due to the temps. But i'd say if you want a cheap alternative for bashing this motor will give you fun. Compare to external build and package this motor looks better than feigao. Specially the shaft its harder I cant flatten it with normal pile, unlike feigao a few scrapping and their off. I cant tell about the internal though.

I might be getting a 16xxKv motor range soon and try that.

I need a few more runs

What did you then use to make the flat spot if files don't work?

I made another run today. This time on a football field (with slippery grass...again). Most run are WOT or should I say I did the run 85% of the time WOT... Motor was so hot, it was so hot that if you touch it with moist in your hand it immediately turns into steam...you can see it boil... but since this is a test run..i just had a 5-10min rest and WOT again......

Total runtime 25-30(less the rest time). Motor temp is 190-210deg, ESC is 150-170deg and battery got to 100-110deg..It might be related to esc settings as I change the timing from lowest - low..Speed were really good...I might get a 1660 or 1845kv with a 62/24 or 25 gearing seed to see if it still hot....or i'll let the expert luciano do the rest of the testing

ohh and this time i ripped off the front tire from the rim..

This motor should do well with Luciano's 6S ESC...

Good enough for bashing but not for racing....

I'm still waiting for the correct motors to come in and I will definitely put some strain on them .

I just had another run today and this time I managed to get to the point where it dont want to go...not sure why but thats half the story. I think I am not familiar with the thermal state of MM if it was really the MM.

I have at least 25-30mins of play (as always), I noticed the motor got hot and the battery ESC are also hot....but I want to push it so 5 mins stop and she's off doing hill climbs and bashing stuff then it stopped, at first i thought LVC kick-in cause i set it a bit high (correct me but im not sure if its LVC or thermal) after a few minutes or so i heard the TX sync of MM and she's off again. Finally after another 5 mins she stop. I opened the body and noticed that MM is still turned on but motor is way too hot as well as battery. If i hit the throttle you just see the green/red LED on MM for forward/reverse but its not moving. I thought the motor is a goner so i packed and went home. After I got him I decided to test it again and the dmn motor worked..still got its punch so now..im not sure if it was the motor or the ESC. But I guess this motor is tougher than I thought.

Maybe others could shed light on what happened but I think motor still working fine.

Guess what I got in the mail today? MF shafts. What the hell do they want me to do with shafts? This is just turning out to be really bad. I had a great time racing today and then this. It sucks.

My 2 XL motors works too and the ESC that I'm testing actually lets me know if the motor is bad. It must have something to do with the BEMF signal it's receiving and the controller will stall. You probably demagnetized the rotors a bit and it will basically make everything run hot. I had issues like that before and found out that the ESC will actually send more current to try and move the demagnetized rotor and things will get over worked.

Sounds logical, I guess that could be it. I guess its time to put back my 9XL

Sorry bout the delivery you got from them.

Saw thread where you had good runs on the ESC. Is it possible you can hook me up and run abuse i mean test on those controller? But if not its ok, MMM just too long and it seem they had another setback on the stencil....

I actually abused it a bit when I ran 4S with the bad 9XL. The motor was blazing hot and the controller was just warm. It was the first data I took and spikes were as high as 168A. I have to ask Mike first if it'll be ok to sell the controller here. I don't think he'll be interested in the controllers as they are a bit on the big side.
