Ooh Gusti, you really have one problem after the other on this truck! I hope your chain of misfortune ends soon!

This sounds to me as though the only good solution woud be a modified nut driver, such as Mike suggested.
Sorry for not being able to provide a quick solution. Maybe if you can get a hold of the nut with some small pliers, you can turn the axle/adapter. But this is not an elegant way. You want to tight the nut down firm, after all.

And about the glue job, you're welcome. I hope they hold up a while!
