Was wondering, ffactory, what zippos are u refering to? The 4s 5000mah ones (the ones i was looking at) were 50 or 51mm wide and all batt trays i could find are only 48mm. Did u get mike to custom cut it? Also is it winter or spring down under right now? When is the best time to visit? Can i stay at your place to save money?

It's winter at the moment , definately wait for summer .
You scratch my back i scratch yours so you can return the favour when i visit the US

I have the Zippy 5s H pack so it's 50 mm wide . Mike made me two custom one piece trays the length of the Enerland cells at 168mm and 50 mm wide for the Zippys .

When running the enerland cells you just pack the box with foam to make up the space in width and do the same with the Zippys to make up the space in length since the Zippys are shorter .

Also Jeff reccomended it ( thanks mate ) and i think it's a great idea , i got Mike to make the front wall thicker that way if the battery moves forward in a hard landing/ lawn dart it won't brake the front wall out of the tray .
It's very uncommon to happen but it did happen to Jeff

Needless to say i can now confirm for you guys that the CR buggy mount fits the X2
Just need to take the dremmel and put a notch in it were it sits on the center chassis brace for clearance .
You can see it in the pic .

Also Mikes mount is about 1mm taller than the stock diff mount so you just have to shim the top of the stock mount so the top diff plate sits square . Bearing carrier is spot on .

Now i have gotten rid of the centre diff braces i had to use on the Tekno mount, a lot cleaner looking

Also received my custom one piece battery trays , perfect .
They clear the diff nicely , sit on the mudguard spot on and best of all i can now use my Zippy packs along with the enerland cells .
After speaking to Jeff i also got the front wall of the tray machined thicker for those hard lawn dart accidents
U are doing good work here. Thanks for the pics & info. Invaluable.

Regards,
Joe Ling

ffactory666,
The motor mount does not look like the mount of CR in RCM to me. The CR mount does not have two big holes near the outside edge of the mount. I want to make sure of it.
By the way, why not just remove the i bar of X2 CRT to get rid of any correlated problem?

That is our new CR Motor mount alright - we constantly update our parts in between production runs as we go - sometime we simply find a "look" that we like, and sometimes we add some utility (mech. brake capability, for example, was not initially on any of our motor mounts). This is a benefit of being a small, low volume shop with our own parts - we can quickly update/change as we see fit. :)

100% Mikes CR mount .
Don't want to remove the centre chassis brace as it will let the chassis flex to much and effect handling .
Putting a little notch in the CR mount was no big problem , took all of 5 minutes .

I would keep the brace - those are LPR tires and wheels - They come stock on the X2...

No problem notching the mount , just do little at a time until it just clears , there is plenty of meat left on it .

As Arct1k speciified they are stock LPR tires and wheels , they look narrower because they are the largest wheel you can use under the rules so the tire is stretched out more and has less sidewall / tire looks narrower .
Tires are great they work similar to Crimefighters .

Been a while guys so thought i would post a little update , i'll be quick .

Body was done in UpgradeRC custom skins , and i am now running Lucianos 6s esc ( it's running great and if it continues to do so i will be selling my new MMM v2 ) .

I will now be using the X2 as my basher so i might go from a 15t pinion up to 17t or probably 18t as the esc ,motor and battery are staying cool , all between 95 o - 110 o .
Have been using the Zippy 5s 4000mah packs and am very happy and getting 18mins before the lvc on the esc kicks in .

I made a plate for the esc which attaches to the center diff top plate using the existing top plate mounting holes , the esc is then attached with velcro and some zip ties .

That's it for now , oh some pics as well .

Looks good. I hope those capacitors are secured with some kind of tape to keep them from bouncing too much and breaking off.
