where do you work/go to school? - 10.25.2008, 04:20 PM

well just as the title says i think it would be interesting to see how the members of this forum spend their time when they arent messing around with their toys.

Ill start off

Im attending OIT (Oregon Institute of Technology) in Klamath Falls for a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, and I am currently a junior in the program. When im not in school i work as a mechanic/salesperson at a bike shop in my home town of Grants Pass, Oregon, and i have been working there since i was a junior in high school.

well thats it, i look forward to seeing what you all do!

I train midgets during the day, for circuis activities. Feisty litte buggers, I get bit often, but the benifits are great. On tues and wed afternoon I read to deaf kids. On monday and thursday I attend self help classes designed to curb my desire to urinate on public buildings (this is court ordered). Friday afternoons are usually free, so I like to drive by the senior center and look for a date. On the weekends I usually take it easy, it is amazing how much energy you use up danicing with someones grandma. On sundays I like to hide in the bushess near the 9th hole t box at the local golf course. It is funny to yell loudly when people are trying to play, I need to find a can style fog horn...

30, electrician, husband, and dad.

I also love to mountian bike. I thought that mt bikeing would be a cheaper hobby but after spending $3,600 on a bike($1,000 on one for my wife) and the fact that I live 3 hours from the mountains, it aint cheap!

I know what you mean, I got a little over $5,500 retail into my bike!! at this point rc is cheaper, but eventually im sure it will end up being more expensive.

I am asked all the time what I like better, my rc trucks, rc planes , or my mt biking. I tell them I like them all b/c each one of them does something compleatly different. Flying the planes ,very relaxing and peacefull. The trucks, competitive, and full of excitment(weather it juming really high, doing cool tricks , or destroying it in a big crash). Mountian bikeing, great excersize, great view, a way to get away for a day!

I've just finished a 1st Class degree in Music Technology at university, but seeing as getting a job in that area is stupidly difficult, I'm currently working in a convenience store.

I think I die a little inside each time I work a shift there...
