First off, will you be running the stock spur gear or will you convert to the 46t spur gear (from the X1-CR buggy)? If you stay with the stock spur (62 teeth), an 18t pinion would work well. If you are running a 46t spur, the smallest pinion Mike's mount will let you use is 14t (mine is using 14t).

Ditto... at least I have a spare MM to hold me over. i have not been bit by the HV bug yet..
