Well, those questions have answers:

The case is black because Castle forgot to pay their color bill.

Bullets are gold because gold goes with black very well.

The sky is blue because green (or any other color) would look icky.

To all the one that constantly have problems. How are you running these thing? I've had my v2 for over three months now with no issues, and this is in a truggy on a track in race conditions.

I think with all the failures and the freak outs there's alot more going on than "I just put it in my car and drove around in the dirt".

The way I've seen people drive r/c cars, nothing could survive long.

The Mamba Monster is an awesome product, that will only get better, but constantly spazzing out is not the way for a company to recieve feedback.

.....And I just reminded myself of why I hate on-line forums....

Honestly we do get some very good feedback from this forum. Most of the guys on here (not all but most) are pretty smart when it comes to R/C stuff.

People may have issues getting a MMM case open, these are the same people who repeatedly drive their truck into a tree and then complain about its poor build quality and materials. These people also take drool breaks at work and pick their nose constantly.

The fan wire is an issue, not a possible issue. Have you taken a MMM apart yet, or do you even have one? The fan wire is routed between the 2 caps closest to the neg bullet. The slot in the case lip is not directly lined up with that routing so the wire naturally falls in a location that can be crimped.
Yes, I do have one.. in fact 4 of them. The only one I have opened was the one that I received the updated Case for after they sent the updated V3 to me. The other 3, no, I have not opened. I have no reason to... as.. they are under warranty.. and if they fail.. I'll send it in to Castle for Warranty Repair.

I think the following response

Helps explain this response:

If you look at MOST electronics, if not all, there are Warranty stickers on the seals of them.. stating "Warranty Void" if broken. They don;t want consumers toying in the stuff.
Do you crack open your Home Theater receiver to look for defects and fix/mod it? Probably not.

Just leave it alone... If it fries the fan due to the fan wires, then it's on them to fix. Everything else.. if it fries something due to the failure.. Talk to Castle and work with them.

Getting pissed because they are starting to push a normal policy.. is a bit silly.
How about a little empathy for the average dude that only has one? How many races do I want to miss to do a VERY basic repair? Now that's silly...and yes, I would crack open my home theater to fix a fan. How about this idea. Fix it and THEN send them out?

lol, I crack open just about everything I own and modify what I deem necessary (usually things that I feel should have been done at the factory).

But I agree, it sucks for those who do not have/can't afford to have a pile of spare ESCs if/when one goes south. A good warranty is a blessing, but it doesn't help you to keep running on race day - unless you happen to have Patrick as your pit crew.

I can only imagine Patrick's pit area....10 tons worth of machinery along with enough solder to cover the track...not to mention the ability to fix/produce any esc with any spec you want.....just think

Racer: "Crap!!! My Monster's dead....Patrick quick hook me up with another esc"
Patrick: "okay here you go...I put a SHV 200 with a Neu 2230 1/y....AND I fabricated you a lipo tray that holds 2 6s 5000mah lipos.....AND here are the lipos you need!"
Racer: "But Patrick, my truggy now weighs as much as 10 monster trucks!!!"
Patrick: "As long as you land on your wheels, the first triple should take you all the way to the back straight....then air-out the double across the 3 turns and into the finish line....that will cut your lap times down to 10 seconds on a 35 second lap track!!!"
Racer: Thanks PAtrick!!"

lol, only on something like R/Cs. I have 10 fans on my archaic computer, but that isn't subjected to the harsh environments of R/C either. I also use a fan on my Hyperion ESO7i when in discharge mode to keep the heatsink cool. But again, it's stationary.

And here I pictured you without even a fan on the radiator of your 1:1 ...

He's down by the river ... walking on water.

yeah, I have a fan on my 1:1. But it's a tad more robust than a cheap 40mm fan zip tied to a heatsink...

Hobby Rule #1.... It isn't cheap. If you can't afford it.. as expendable money.. might want to rethink your hobby.
Hobby Rule #2... They break. And if you are racing, you better expect to have spares, especially the vulnerable stuff.. In this case, ESC, Servos, Push rods, Pinions, Spurs, drive shafts, etc... Unless you are OK with it breaking at a race and calling it a day. And that would apply to nearly anything you are DEPENDING on to stay working.
That's just Murphy's law. If it can break it will.. Therefor, have extras.
So, empathy.. Yea.. None. It's a hobby...
