it will handle a few speed runs but i wouldn't push your luck with that high of a kv motor.

well the neu's are 60k rpm But the castle may be different. Watch the temps and dont hold it at full throttle for lengthened periods of time. If you constantly run it that high of rpm you cant explode the magnets.

its not the limit of your motor I would be worried about but the limitations of the mechanics, such as drivelines and gears...if you havnt bought the motor yet I would go with a 2200 kv model....unless you really gear the 2600 kv motor down it WILL run hot due to the higher amperage draw

I've run the 2650 CC on 5s and it had no issues on the GTP or a buggy - 6s doesn't fit my layout well so I havn't tried that yet...

2650: Buggy
2200: Truggy

The 2650 will be fine on 4s, I'd start with a 13T pinion. 6s will be fine as long as you don't hold full throttle for too long. Do NOT free-rev the motor, go downhill at speed, etc. and you will be fine. Considering the voltage drop with the load on the lipos, and the fact you probably won't hit full motor RPMs when used in your Buggy/Truggy you should be fine.

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

Isn't the 2650 offered in the combo? If so will CC have a warning stating not to run it on 6S, a la Mamba Max 7700 style?

Castle has stated you can safely run the 2650 on 6s without harming the motor. The rotors are kevlar wrapped so no harm to the rotor near the 60k limit.

Of course you are looking at speed in excess of 70mph with 6s.

Shaun,

As long as you shim everything properly, you will be fine!
