Thanks a ton mike. Well, seeing as you found a perfect body, I'll try to fit it all under that! I really would like to keep the tc3 steering at all costs, since an already assembled steering is one less problem to overcome.
If the b4 rear wheels fit stock thats great. Now, for the drivetrain what I am looking at for options. I could try to maintain the rear assembly from the tc3 and do a motor mount that way. But I'd probably need to have a custom driveshaft made, and then probably something to brace it in the center?
As for longer shocks I just assume to use some longer shock shafts with the existing ones, and purchase some longer springs to use. Instead of the rally kit i decided to buy the 200mm conversion, basically the same thing with metal dogbones instead and without the tires and shock shafts.
As far as a chassis layout im not sure it'll be long enough to hold everything on one deck? So I may go for a dual deck layout, with the top being for the batteries only (having a hole cut out for the motor and spur to keep it lower)
I'm thinking I'd like to make the chassis out of carbon fiber maybe, but thats a long way off. Only the tc3 and chassis will be purchased before christmas (should be enough work inbetween school and hockey).
E-Traxxer - The tc3 differentials are pretty durable and hold up well to conventional setups and extreme setups (12 cells / Hacker b50s)
EDIT: Ideally i'd like to make sure this doesn't turn out as more of a rally project, although that would be interesting too.
