You are probably referring to using a resistor? Patrick from CC specifically said not to do this with the MM or MMM. Something about the arming sequence being different than an aircraft ESC and could cause damage to the logic circuits.

so just put up with it and replace the deans plugs every 6 months??

It's sure a lot better than replacing the ESC on a more frequent basis.

Only the tips of Deans get pitted, etc. The contacts are on the side, so I don't see why they would have to be replace so often. The same for bullet connectors.....

He says not to do it with any CC ESCs

I though he said just not with the MM/MMM/sidewinders. Hmm. I used a no-spark circuit with my HV110 and it worked fine while I was using it.
