How much difference between cells is considered bad? My Zippy K 3S packs were 3.41, 3.63, and 3.48 after the last run in the Flux - the other pack was 3.68,3.59,3.68. My Duo seems to bring it back ok, but just wondering if its on its last legs.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

That seems fine to me.

As long as they don't go below 3.1 I think they'll be good for a few more charges.

So do people prefer the Rhino or the Zippy-H cells? I was told that the Zippy-H cells are slightly better quality for the money, is that correct? :D

zippy-H 5000 20-30c or zippy flightmax 5000 30c - 02.20.2009, 12:45 PM

...The weight is different and the dimensions are different..they got to be different cells. Does anyone really KNOW if the zippyh or zflightmax reliability issues... I have read a lot, but nobody has concrete figures or experience. Some says that the flightmax has more burst current, but suspect it does not last long.... both seem to heat up the same amount if drawing 150A continuously. Dont know the lifetime of the flightmax though.

Lets hear from the guys who really have some. They can tell us what to buy, because I'm in the market for some new lipos.. 3s...x 2 (OR 5s if possible...got ebay 5s cheapies on way as well...)

Lets hear it....

...E-sav...no i really like that...fond memories of purposely melting and cutting an old black Trans-Am firebird plastic model that i had JUST to make it look like Max's car...

...I like that 'mad max' has now become a verb :D Its sounds better than 'murdering' something...Hmm...might just Madmax the HFX :D

back on topic...It appears the Zippy's, and also to some extent the Rhinos, are made with 10 gauge wire? Particularly the 4500+ packs?

The flightmax packs just came out not to long ago from what I have seen. I dont think you are going to find anyone thats had them for a while. They do look well built and fairly bulky for a 5000mah pack so thats got to be a good sign.

Definitely 10ga. wire. My guess is this is their way of compensating for lesser-quality wire. I mean, their 12ga. probably wouldn't stand up to Deans Wet Noodle (12ga.) wire in terms of current handling, for example.
