Thanks Magman on the paint.

That's another thing I know next to nothing about. But when I needed to paint my 4Runner, I bought a cheap air gun and some good automotive paint (Dupont Centurion) and it turned out really, really well and is holding up far better than I expected that it would, considering the abuse (tree contact is common here in Iowa).
So, since I have some of that automotive paint left and I wanted the Summit to be the same color, that's what I used. It's a single stage acrylic (I barely know what that means) and so I deserve little credit.
large pic of how, paint came out well.
Of course, I had to go on a crash course about how these things are painted. It was white on the inside, so I started painting on the outside. That wasn't bad, but I could see light coming thru still. So, I then painted the inside and it seemed to even it all out.
Unfortunately, I got too much paint on the body and it kinda glossed out, it's a flat paint. It came out OK on my 4runner, flat as expected. But I was rather inebriated while painting the model body and forgot to turn down the pressure on the air compressor. I had paint and dirt and dust all over the dingin' garage! Had to totally redo the paint job and ended up with too much paint on it.
