I'm thinking this truck would be a good candidate for two outrunners, one at each diff. Obviously there's plenty of room for them, as well as two ESCs, and all the batteries you could ever want.

SH Z-Car, Custom Crawler, 8s Savage, 12s XTM XLB 1/7 buggy, 4wd 4-link rear/IFS Pro4 truck, Custom Hyper 10 Short Course, Belt-Drive Mammoth ST 1/8 truggy, 4s 17.5 MM Pro HPI Blitz

I'm disappointed that they just threw a Baja 5T body on it. Maybe the North American release will have a more typical Savage body on it.

I actually like that they used the Baja 5T body. That is one of the best looking bodies imo. All HPI needs to do is add the bumpers for the front and rear.

...from what HPI USA has been telling me there might not BE a North American release...HPI JPN will 'aparently' only be doing this one here in Japan...

...FYI the wheel adaptors will fit regular XL axles BUT take the 24mm Baja wheel too...Truck will also ship with normal 17mm hexs too...Not exactly my cup of tea but if it was the buggy version :D

I'm just going to build one based on my XL parts. Should have it all together in less then a month. Planning on 1521 1y on either 6s or 8s. Currently planinng on running 23mm hub and losi-bolt on tires. I can get the "special" 24mm hubs made if I decide to use stock baja size tires.

That is a sweet setup. I wouldnt mind picking up a savage and that conversion kit just to have another 1/5.

looks like a sweet ride, seems like if it isnt released RTR in the states guys will have plenty of opportunities to get TVP chassis's made from custom outfitters. the TVP is not really all that complex in the end.

Im sure it will somehow sneak its way into the usa. But if that is the case that is a very stupid move by hpi...

I have a feeling it will be a fun truck... I should have one in a few weeks, a month tops.

My downscaled 1/10ish version of that truck is a blast to run so a Savage 5T with the right brushless setup should be twice as much fun!
