Rc-m and swami-rc already have full metal diff cups for the slash etc. Redesigning these would probably be faster/cheaper than for FLM to make a whole new diff.
And you could also try MIP's ball diff if you want adjustability. Haven't seen any reviews on them yet.

I knew swami had one, but when did Mike make his?? I could have sworn I looked everywhere and only found the swami version (and it was a bit pricey). Hmm, now debating about closing this thread since I definitely don't want to compete with Mike, but he carries FLM...

Redesigning the outdrives so they are supported by bearings (similar to an 8th scale) would be a good idea, but would probably involve modifications to the tranny. So, not sure how much of a good idea this will be after all...
